I loved Mabel’s session, so I decided to share it all with you!

Mabel is a gorgeous Border Terrier puppy that I had the pleasure of photographing. Owner Alice and I decided to do the session in the same style as my Newborn photo shoots - and it was so much fun. 

We had the giggles watching Mabel’s playful side at the start of the session. She had so much puppy energy and no understanding of why she had to sit in front of this silly backdrop for so long. Alice had already done a fantastic job of training her though, so, sit, she did! 

Mabel unfortunately however, took a bit of tumble backwards off a stool in all her excitement (I promise no puppies were harmed in the making of this photo shoot!!). This then caused her to feel somewhat sorry for herself, and to promptly fall asleep in a basket. YAY!! 

She was an ABSOLUTE DREAM to work with. As with newborns I was so worried about moving Mabel to the next pose for fear of waking her up and consequently missing out on those adorable sleepy images. However, Mabel did exactly what I wanted. I moved her to different poses and different baskets etc; she fell back to sleep. We called her to wake her up for a few photos, she would oblige and lift her head temporarily (enough for a few snaps) and then… fall back to sleep. 

I came away from the session determined never to photograph anything other than puppies ever again! (Jokes!)
